Free Spirit Audio™ FSX-1 “A mic for all reasons”

Many years of practical experience and development ‘from first principles’ both by ExplorAUDIO and our partners is being applied to new audio product development. This highly innovative microphone concept is the result of collaboration with Xlson Audio founder and renowned upright bass player and sound engineer, Peter Axelsson. Peter’s ground-breaking microphone design has been adapted to make a perfect combination with the H-clamp - the FSX-1.

An audio equivalent of a Swiss Army knife, the unique design gives the FSX-1 unrivalled versatility and breadth of tonal quality, from understated transparency to laser sharp penetration, with high levels of isolation and the option of true dual-purpose operation. It can be used to spotlight a musician’s instrument, even in ensemble recordings, or capture both the instrument and the musician’s vocals concurrently (and yet present a clear separation of the two in live performances). The FSX-1 can be purchased alone or in combination with an H-clamp (FSX-1H).
