Strain relief when used to restrain the cables of microphones mounted on the H-clamp (see the H-clamp manual for fitting instructions).
Binding microphone cables to guitar straps, to prevent them trailing where they could become a nuisance. By binding the microphone cables to follow the strap round to the button on the base of the guitar body, the cable can be treated in the same way as a DI cable.
Similarly, using these ties microphone and/or pickup cables can be tethered to the spike of cellos and double (upright) basses.
